How it works

At Property Station we believe in transparency and being upfront with no hidden costs or surprises. That's why we have created a simple price list covering all trades. As well as this our office team are on call Monday to Fridays answering all your queries and are able to confirm all booking details.

Property Station offers 3 main types of Services

Time basis
Our main day to day offering which covers such work as fixing a tap, hanging a picture, hanging a shelf and gardening to give a few. This type of work is usually relatively quick and simple and jobs we do on a day to day basis. This is based on a time basis and can be anything from half hour on our Property Station rate to our half day or full day rates.

Estimate
In some cases or if requested we will provide what we call estimates providing you the flexibility and a guide indicating on time / price of the job at hand such as assemble wardrobe units, put together tables and chairs. This can either be + or - the estimate provided and is not fixed.

Quote
This is usually provided for jobs in excess of £1000 or where there are multiple team members involved such as decorating a flat or house. This would be a formal quote and a fixed price regardless of time on site.

Work completion

On completion of the works a copy of the Job can be provided for your records through our mobile App which each of the Tradesmen use.

Payment can be made to the Property Station by any Major Credit and or Debit card, BACS, Cash or Cheque. Cheques are payable and to made out to ‘Property Station’

We expect payment to be made on completion of works. Payment delay may incur additional costs such as administrative and interest charges.

We do not hand out receipts on the jobs however, if required, our offices can supply a copy should it be required for warranties and or other information. The original receipts however remain Property Station's and are only supplied electronically for reference purposes.

Our charges cover Labour and Materials and are all plus VAT

Payment is DUE on the day of the visit and can be paid directly to the Tradesman via card machine.

We reserve the right to add on a discretionary fee to cover costs such as petrol and time for sourcing, purchasing sourced on your behalf if it is reasonable and fair.

Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel a job at any time due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather or handymen sickness which will be under the office review only. In all cases we do our utmost to reschedule at the earliest next availability. However due to the nature of these unexpected situations please bear with the team. We reserve the right to cancel or delay a job due to non payment and or ongoing works such as non payments of deposit as per our strict payment plans.

Customer Cancellations

We understand plans change however cancellations made by customers must be made in writing at least 24 hours prior to the booking date by email to office@propertystation.co.uk. Cancellations can also be made by phone calling 020 8050 5161 but this must be made within our office hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and you must speak to a member of our office team. Voicemails out of hours will not be accepted as proper notice.

Cancellations made on the day or less the 24 hours will incur a minimum call out charge of 1 hour + VAT. If a half day or full day have been booked where we incur additional costs and are not able to fill the allocated time slot additional charges and costs may be applied. If we are unable to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances and materials have been purchased specifically for the job booked these materials will be charged in full and or given for use by our team.

Terms of Work

Roofing works:
Any works carried out on existing roofs to fix issues such as leaks we do not guarantee and are classified as investigatory and or patch work if any issues persist this would be charged on a time basis until resolved.

Gardening works:
Moving shrubs and trees to new locations may result in trauma to the plants. Please be aware that we do not guarantee the new location and or newly planted plants will take. This might be due to different light conditions such as more sun or less shade or soil conditions.

Rubbish removal:
We unfortunately do not have the facilities to take away rubbish in volume. In some cases if previously specified we can take away small bags at an additional cost. For larger items or multiple bags, this can be requested as a separate price at the end of job once quantity is known. This is usually done by half or full loads with weight and type of materials considered. On completion of works we generally bag items and put to your requested location in site if you would like to dispose of yourself.

Parking
Costs incurred such as Congestion Charge, ULEZ in order to attend are also chargeable (if applicable) If you are able to provide parking permits this is preferable.

Recall Policy and Workmanship Guarantee
Property Station offer a maximum of up to 6 months workmanship guarantee on all work we carry out. Our recall policy excludes and is not limited to: mechanical or product related failure, excessive force after installation, excessive use beyond reasonable, not fit for purpose use, water and other related time damage. We accept no liability for any works carried out after the 6 month period as per our Job records.

Please note: Should a recall be required please call or email our offices where a visit will be made to rectify the issue raised. Any issue raised beyond and out of scope from our workmanship guarantee would be charged on our normal price list rates.

Insurance
In the unlikely event of an accident such as breakage our Tradesmen our trained to acknowledge the incident, report this to the office with supporting evidence where the office will take necessary action to ensure the property is repaired and or replaced at no additional costs.

In the event of property damage such as drilling through a pipe where a leak occurs this will go through an insurance coverage policy - Professional Indemnity Extension and may require several 3rd party assessments prior to being able to rectify the situation. In these cases we ask for your patience in knowledge we will make good the particular situation.
